Magic is a performing art in which audiences are entertained by staged tricks or illusions of seemingly impossible or supernatural feats using natural means. It is the oldest form of entertainment sources started from Persian priests many years ago and it was known as Magosh in Persia. The Persians brought this culture of entertainment to Greeks and then spread throughout Europe and the rest parts of the world.A founding figure of modern entertainment magic was Jean Eugène Robert-Houdin, who founded a magic theatre in Paris in 1845. John Henry Anderson was pioneering the same transition in London in the 1840s. Towards the end of the 19th century, large magic shows permanently staged at big theatre venues became the norm. In this post-modern era this magic culture and magic event is staged at different theatre venues in different countries nationally and internationally with great arrangements for the sources of entertainment and education. In spite of the aforementioned facts, we regret that Bangladeshi magicians are lagging behind in this regard, in fact neglected, and we have no established national magic performing hall in our country. Moreover Bangladesh government is not properly aware of supporting and upholding this oldest tradition of the world. However Bangladesh Jadukar Parishad has recently taken an initiative to exhibit and uphold this magic culture in our country and it is going to arrange an international magic convention this year for the first time in the country to go one step ahead in this source of entertainment and education.
